Date announced: 27 Oct 2005 Koheras is expanding the wavelength window of its low noise, narrow linewidth fiber lasers enabled by Thulium fiber technology. The new range of ADJUSTIK T20 fiber lasers are selectable from app. 1720 to 1780 nm (optionally other) e.g. to target specific atomic transition lines as well as eye safe regions, and are delivered as benchtop units for laboratory use or rugged OEM devices for industrial sensor applications. These fiber lasers are characterised by extremely stable single frequency and mode hop free operation, with kHz linewidth (<10 kHz), exceptionally low phase and intensity noise, and rapid piezo tuning. The lasers have furthermore been mechanically designed for reduced susceptibility to acoustic noise and vibrations.
Reference applications: spectroscopy, trapping, LIDAR, wind sensing, sensor interrogation (e.g. security and oil exploration) and other applications relying on stable single frequency operation and narrow linewidth/long coherence length.
