DOPS Annual Meeting
|
The central most important DOPS activity of the year is the annual meeting, which is a one- or two-day meeting held
in the last week of November. This is the occasion for most of the members to inform about their the latest
scientific and technical results and learn about the most recent developments within optics in Denmark through short
oral presentations and poster displays. The meeting also provides an opportunity to listen to invited international
guest speakers reviewing selected topics of current interest.
The DOPS annual meeting also includes a technical exhibition, where DOPS members and representatives of national and
international commercial suppliers can get in contact.
The annual meeting is furthermore the occasion to honor extraordinary contributions to optics by, e.g., the awarding
of the DOPS-prize and medal. And not least important is the social aspect of the annual meeting, which allows members
to renew friendships and meet people with matching interests.
